Words from Will C from the Emmy Award Winning Show Modern Family

I really enjoyed this interview today and felt it went really well. Thank you for having me on.

Words fromRaphael Cohen-Almagor

Thanks for sending me the link. I circulated it on social media.

I enjoyed talking to Win. Two points for consideration:

I had difficulty accessing the link. You may wish to hold a test call beforehand to ensure that technology works for you and not against you. At the very least, someone should be attentive to emails close to the time of the interview.

I was somewhat surprised that Win did not ask the questions we agreed upon.

Kind regards
Raphael

Words from L.T.

Hello Danielle,
I appreciated my time on the show, I’ll share the episode with my audience this evening after work. I’ll share some of my thoughts and review then.
Thanks,
L.T.

Hello Danielle,
The interview went well and I appreciated the conversation we had. I think for a half an hour interview, we covered plenty. If I were to offer any helpful advice, perhaps organizing/streamlining the information before the interview would be helpful. There were some places where I was confused with what I was reading or what was needed from me. Otherwise, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with Win.
Thanks,
L.T.

Words fromKellina Powell

“ it was an amaZing conversation where I can relate to someone who isn’t just deaf but have other disabilities. Win make me comfortable and easy to talk to “

Words from Betsy Sloan

Thanks,Danielle!
I will share the show!
I enjoyed chatting with Win!
I wished it was longer!

Words from Deirdrefa*gan

Thank you so much! It was great to meet Win and be on the show.
Just a quick correction: I am an award-winning author, not a bestselling one. Maybe that could be quickly corrected?
Thanks again for your help, Danielle. It was great.
Best,
Deirdre

Words from Betsty Wurzel

Words from Bonnie Hardie

I really enjoyed being interviewed by Win.She asked very pertinent questions & we got a good message out about not judging others , being empathetic ,etc.

Words from Slynn Smith

I think Win is amongstthe greatest podcasters I’ve ever met. I’ve been on toomany podcasts to list and she stands out amongst the best. The cream always rises to the top and that’s clear with Win.

Words fromSharmin Smith

I'd enjoy connecting face to face with Win.

Words fromGenesis Amaris Kemp

Hi Danielle,

Thank you so much. Do you have any promotional flyers I can use?

Win was a great podcast host and I liked the fact that she was vulnerable and shared her storywith me. We were able to have a fluid conversation.

Words from David Figueroa

Thank you it was a pleasure working with you both!

Words from Stephanie Fuccio

12 months from now? wow, she must have talked to so many people:)
Well, it was a delight to talk to Win, of course. We had a bit of technical issues but that happens often so is no big deal. We got it done in the end. The questions she asked were different than the ones that were sent to me but I can talk about anything so it was no big deal. Overall this was a really enjoyable experience.

Thanks Danielle,
Steph

Words from Brandon Hills

Hi Danielle and Win,

Thanks for having me on the show. It was a great experience and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. As far as feedback I found the process to be easy the way you have it set up and I was well informed of what to expect.

I'm trying to schedule with one of the designers I'm connected with to see if they'd be open to doing some volunteer work along with me. I was hoping that we might be able to give the Ask Win website a makeover and make it accessible at the same time. What are your thoughts?

Danielle, would this interest you too for Dan Can Shred?

Words from Jack A. Ori

Thank you so much! I will be posting this link when I get home.

I enjoyed being on the show and meeting Win! The only feedback I have was it was slightly confusing to figure out the conference number. Your emails helped a lot but when I first looked at the options I wasnt sure if I was supposed to go to the website or call.

Thanks again!

Best,
Jack

Words fromPaul Forchione

Hi Danielle,

I have already started to promote the episode. I had a wonderful time on the Ask Win Podcast, Win is very inspirational and I'm a big fan. The only thing I would say is she has a lot of questions that are premade which is good because it goes with her theme but I think she should ask more questions off the cuff, it becomes more conversational and more entertaining to the viewers.

Words from Tamar Medford

Awesome!! I will get that shared out tomorrow. It was such an amazing experience being on the show. I loved our conversation and the passion win and I share for helping people change their lives. Really looking forward to having Win on my show.

Words fromCecileThomas

Hi Danielle,

Thank you so much for this!!
I shared it, but the episode doesn't appear on iTunes nor Spotify... Can you update me on this?

Thank you,
Cecile

Words from Nathan Garrison

Hey Danielle,
Thanks again for setting everything up this morning. I really enjoyed my interview with Win. I left a review on iTunes a day or two ago so it should show up by now. Would you and Win do me a favor a leave a written review about my podcast on iTunes? I would really appreciateit. Please be completely honest about anything you like or don't like. I would really appreciate it if Win would do the same. Here is my iTunes link. I would love for you to listento a few episodes and let me know whatyou think.

In the meantime, I have attached my questions and topics for the podcast. I would appreciate it if you and Win would each fill one out. I am not sure how the best way to do the interviewwill be. I am still thinking about it, but I think having a video recording is super important. I have several followers who are deaf or hearing impaired so I think your episode will be great for them and using a prescription will make sure everyone understands you perfectly.

There is a good chance I will be in colorado sometime over the winter. My brotherand his family live in Arvada, CO, and my sisterand her husband live closer to downtown Denver. There may be a chance for us to do an in-person interview if I can work out the time frame and if you are both willing. Anyway, if not, we can always do a Zoom call and record that. Either way, talk to Win and y'all let me know what you think.

Thanks again and I will talk to you soon,

Warm regards,

Nate

Hi Danielle,
Thanks for this and wanted to share that it was nice to chat with Win. I would have loved a little bit more of a lead in from Win (a prep before we record about what she wanted to get across to her audience today) you'll hear she just asked me to tell them about myself, but wasn't sure where to go...That would be my only feedback.

Words from Damon Burton

Words fromRosa Ponce de Leon

Hi Danielle,

Thank you so much for the link. My experience on the show with Win was superb, Win is a joy. I walked away feeling like I was not on my toes and missed a huge opportunity. I usually do best unscripted and this is why I loved the conversational talk with Win and I actually did enjoy the prearrangedprep questions--she weaved them in nicely. Why I missed an opportunity is because what I should've asked when my questionscame up is, WHY journalism? I was so much more interested in her story and her passion for this career change. Instead, I resorted for my prearranged questionsand did not pivot. Lesson learned for me, go off script and explore the stuff that makes you curious during the interview. It helped to listen to some of her interviews in advance, I think what she's doing is amazing. Please do share my sentiments with Win and I hope to invite her to my podcast (launching next month) very soon so I can ask her the question. I am a fan of Win and gratefulto be on her show.

All the best to you,
-

Rosa

Words from Andy Mathews

Words canHeikeYates

The connections and recording worked smoothly. We had a lovely conversation about life and life's challenges and wins.

Words from Doug Hurt

As a late-stage college student (academia calls me non typical), I know the need for people to find examples of beating the odds.
I enjoyed being interviewed by Win today, as I not only shared my story of starting college at the age of 53 yrs, in search of a THIRD career.....but I also had the opportunity to learn from Win. Win is a remarkable example of an educator who is not only committed to the process of increasing her own knowledge and skill level, but who is ALSO driven to improving the lives of others. I would like to believe something Robert Ingersoll said - "We rise by lifting others," and Win climbs to the stars thru lifting others with her example. In my future path, I know that if I run into challenges,......I have this memory. Know when to say, "WIN."

Thank you for all that you do,
Doug Hurt

Words from David Munford

I loved being on the show and totally open to come back anytime to chat again. I am a huge supporter for life.

Thank you Danielle for the link.

“I was grateful to have had such an authentic conversation with Win about death and dying, especially delving deep into the death of her mother and father and the circ*mstances and her pain leading up to and after their last days. Win also shared her concerns about her own compromised health amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Thank you Win for a memorable interview and I wish you a long, healthy and happy life ahead.” Mary M. Danielle, you can use this quote If you’d like. Please convey to Win how thankful I am for the privilege to be with her the other day.

As for being on Win's podcast, I loved everything about it ! I loved the questions she asked me as well as her insights. She has been the most inspiring person who has interviewed me so far. She is definitely a force and someone who I will look up as I continue to parent and guide my severely autistic son to thrive despite his disability.

Words from Heidi Pollan

I am not sure what happened in that last email..

This is from Alison.. Let me know if you need to rerecord..

I couldn’t always hear her talking and sometimes she was garbled and there was a lag between me stopping talking and her talking so if anything came across as rude or dismissive it wasn’t my intention… I just couldn’t tell..

Thank youfor the opportunity to have Alison on the show!

Words from Jo Beth Gonzalez

HI Danielle - Thank you for the opportunityto speak with Win on her podcast!

The emphasis on bringing attention to not only kids, but teachers, with disabilities is so important.
The time went fast. I thought Win's questions were clear and the conversationfluid.

I don't know who or how many people might have been listening!

Words from Hank Scott

Hi Danielle,

Win is charming! I had a great time. It was by far the easiest ‘interview’ I have ever done because it just felt more like a chat. Hopefully this will lead to some action on our cause,

Thanks for your help along the way,
Cheers

Hank

Hi Danielle and Win,

Thank you so much for having me on your show! The pleasurewas all mine!

The only feedback I wouldhave, which is something it sounds like you areworking on already, is to schedule 15 mins beforethe podcastto chat and then about 5 mins after to reflect on how it went!

Love your formatand am very impressedwith you and your success! Congratulationsand keep moving forward! You areawesome!

Words from Shields

Thank you! It was great. Might of been helpful if I knew what she wanted to talk about ahead of time, but the flowhappened.

Words from Patricia Clahar

Thanks so much! I really enjoyed chatting with Win and being on the show. One suggestion I have is that you may want to prepare a pic or a short video that guests can use on social media to promote the episode when it's released. Most podcasts that I've been on tend to do that.

Have a great weekend!

Words from Jessica Temple

I really enjoyed it and Win was great to speak to!

Words from Mischelle Saunders-Gottsch

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for sending this email with the links. I enjoyed being on the show and my conversation with Win. I enjoyed learning more about her and cerebral palsy and also appreciated her giving me a shout out. We had a great conversation. I won’t be able to share the link on my social media and donate until later tonight.

Thanks again forthe opportunity!

Stay safe and healthy!

Words from Erik Allen

Hey Danielle,

I just shared out to all of our social media pages and added a post to

TopRatedMMA.com

- (

https://topratedmma.com/ask-win-podcast-featuring-erik-allen/

). Thank you for the opportunity to be on the show.

Quick heads up, as I was pulling links from your links below, I noticed that the iHeart Radio link isn't working and the. Google Home link goes to Google Play Music, but doesn't look like an episode has been added to that page since 2018. Not sure if that is on purpose though or not.

Thank you again.
Hope you and Win have an awesome day,

- Erik

Words from Maribel Lara

Thanks for sharing Danielle. It was a lovely experience and I'll be sure to share the link with my network.

Words fromEd Watters

Hi Danielle,
Thank you so much for the awesome experience. On the show I mentioned that Tracey Maxfield was my #1 Podcast interview, Well this interview just topped the list. I had so much fun and enjoyed talking with Win. Anything we can help with please reach out.
Thank you, Ed Watters

Words from Mariah Powell

Danielle,

Thank you for sending the link. I truly enjoyed being on the show, including Win's questions that searched for human and vulnerable answers.

I do wish Win's questions had created a little more space for discussing what my podcast and story are, as after Win answered the questions I asked her we had run outof time to record. To be fair, this is partially on me as I am used to being in the role of interviewer not interviewee.

However, again, I truly enjoyed the topics we discussed and appreciate the opportunity to work with your team. I would love to do so again in the future

Thankyou again,
Mariah Powell

Words from Pia Crafton

Hello Danielle,

Thanks so much for getting back to me and attaching the shot. I loved and really enjoyed talking with Win . She made my interview very engaging and comfortable as if I was chatting with a girl friend. Win Charles is an awesome person and I would love to interview with her againin the future. Thanks so much for having me.

Words from Mark Kumar

HiDanielle,

Thank you so much for the information. I will definitely share it on all of my platforms.

Also, FYI your podcast is not updated on google podcast and iHeartRadio is showing 404 page for your podcast. You might want to get with your people to see what they can dofor you.

Have a good day.
Thanks
Mark Kumar

Words from M.N. Miller

Thanks. It was great to be on your show. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one.

My only critique would be when you tweet out the podcast would be to @ tag the person (like @MNMillerFilmRev) so people would know where to find me and to tweet it out also from the account with the 6,000 followers(it looks like you tweet out from the account described as the old one, and not the one you moved to).

Thank you so much for having me on your show/podcast. I greatly appreciate you allowingme to be on after missing last week.
I'd love to come back on and talk about the Oscars before the show next month if you'd want me to come back on.

Thank you again!

Sincerely,
M.N. Miller

Words from Carol Beth Anderson

I really enjoyed being on with Win. I loved how quick and simple the process was too. The communication beforehand was great.

Words from Adam Coughlin

Thanks for thinking of me, Danielle, for inclusion on the podcast!

I had a blast. Please let me know when it goes live so we can promote on our end.

Also, Win had mentioned potentially doing a video for our site on her career as an entrepreneur. We'd love to introduce her to our audience. No rush, of course, but I did just want to make sure I followed up because I was so excited!

Thanks. Have a great weekend!

Words fromRene Schultz

Hi Danielle! I just listened to the entire podcast I could have done much worse lol I'm thankful! That was a great time and I think Win and I could put out some good info! Thanks so much for your hard work. God bless us all as we fight darkness with light, Rene'

Words fromJordan Gross

Thanks so much, I had fun!

My feedback is that it was nice to flip the script and ask questions back. For me, someone who does a lot of interviews, I enjoyed this. One thing I’d say to consider is many others may not because they will want to speak about themselves :)

Words from Elizabeth Cush

Thanks for the link! I'll be sure to share it!
I enjoyed talking with Win. She's easy to talk too and very funny!
I appreciate her inviting me to be on the podcast.

Words from Ludovic Vuillier

That is was a conversation on both sides and that Win opens up just as much.

Words from Jennifer Dixon

Hi Danielle!
Thanks for having me and for the experience of talking to Win. You guys have a really good, well oiled machine going on!
My one feedback would be to let your participants know that after the interview is over you will end the call/conversation. I was still talking to Win, and I realized she wasn’t there!
🤪🤦🏻‍♀️

Words from Jean-Maré Gagliardi

It was amazing! I certainly feel like o rambled way too much given out was my first live interview where in the past I got to edit and cut when doing interview on paper 😂 my answers were way too long too so I’m surprised Win didn’t cut me off. But she was wonderful. Great questions, super supportive, and easy to talk to. I shared it on twitter and Facebook. Is Ask Win on Facebook so I can tag the podcast there? On twitter I just shared and retweeted the link from the Ask Win Twitter account’s post.

Words from Bill Courtney

Thank you

It was great being on the show and I was honored to be a guest. Win is an inspiration and an example that we should all look to when we are having a bad day or challenges. Her daily commitment to being undefeated is humbling.

Words fromKristin Kail

Initially I was quite nervous, as I’d never done a podcast before. I also thought it would be a live recording, so was very much relieved when Win told me it was pre-recorded. It was a very positive experience 😊

Words from Jennifer Fink

I enjoyed my conversation with Win very much. I can see how podcasts can be used to improve disability knowledge.
I’ve already shared the link but will do so a few more times over the next week.
Keep up the good work!

Words fromJoel Albrecht

Confused. Don't see the show anywhere except this link. Is it up anywhere else? I know everyone tends to want to listen on they're own app. Not sure how much sharing this link will help.

Feedback being on the show: It was great. Lots of good energy. I will be putting out a slightly different version for my show as I recorded it myself. Will send link when it is up.

Words from Kelly Ann Collins

Hi Danielle! It was great. Thank you so much. I will share this everywhere!

Words fromDonald Thompson

Hi Danielle --

We have been promoting the show and will continue to do so.

I just realized I had never responded to your inquiry about what we thought about being on the show.

We enjoyed meeting Win and the form we got beforehand was very helpful.

Not so impressive were the following:

Win had originally reached out to us on Twitter requesting an interview. I had sent her my calendar link, and then proceeded to schedule 2 if not more different time slots, always cancelling right before. That was a little frustrating. At some point, I received an email from you with information on the show and Win's calendar.

The other not so positive thing was that Win didn't get my name right for most of the show. The very first reference was right. So that was a little awkward.

I hope those comments are helpful.

We would like to request the same from you. How were we as guests?

If interested in the future, we do have another presentation we could offer your listeners about the entrepreneur lifestyle and how to build a profitable business from the ground up.

I hope you have a great week!

Dana

Words from Jen McFarland

Awesome! Thank you! I don't see it's up right now (on iTunes), but once it's live I'll add it to my website:

I had a great time! Win is great and everything went seamlessly!

Thanks again for the opportunity!

Words from Jim Meade

Thank you so very much Win, This podcast was a pleasure.

If I can offer suggestions and contacts for a meet-up next year just let me know.

But mostly please accept my kindest thanks and very best regards,

Jim Meade

Words from Elizabeth Mcculloch

Though the link is labeled Elizabeth Mcculloch it's actually a talk w a guy named Jeff. Please send the ocrrect link!
I enjoyed it. Thanks so much. My only suggestion: while waiting for Win on hold, I had to listen to music. I love music, but I like to be able to read while on hold (I wasn't on hold way long). Anyway, MY preference is to just have an occasional beep to let you know you're still connected. Please thank Win and tell her I hope she has a glorious time in Cocoa. I don't think noseeums will be a problem, but watch the warning flags on the beach which will tell you if there are sea lice (I've only seen that flag once).

Words from Mark Guerin

Win and Danielle,

Thanks again for having me. I enjoyed the interview and, listening to it today, I thought it went quite well.

As a token of my appreciation, I’d like to offer Win and you free copies of my audiobook, since I know she likes to listen to books. If Win likes young adult books, I think she’ll enjoy my book.

Words from Kevin Barhydt

Hi, I noticed you had requested feedback. Thank you for asking.

I was happy when you reached out to me as a potential guest on the show. I have found every step of the way an extraordinarily high level of professionalism. Your commitment to quality communication was evident in each email and interaction. The website, all of the social media feeds, and the podcasts themselves are extremely well written and maintained. I am completely floored by your attention to detail. Because I expect to launch a podcast in the near future I was drawn to your work process as an example of how I could run my own.

The interview with Win was a total joy. I realize we went longer than the 15-20 minutes allotted, but I hardly noticed the time, and found it hard to want to wrap up.

If possible I'd love to hear your feedback on how it was to have me as a guest. Any tidbits would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again,

Kevin

Words from Mackenzie Littledale

Good morning Danielle,

Thank you so very much for the links to the replay.

My feedback:

Win was great, compassionate, and asked interesting questions. The amount of time spent was good, not too long, not too short. I appreciate that she asked for ways for listeners to find me.

I'm sorry I misunderstood one of her questions about the darkest point of being in the mental hospital. I thought she asked what the doctors had to say. If she's really curious about that, it was being restrained in a straitjacket and that's the number one reason I have that image as my profile pic on Twitter, as a reminder to take my meds or wind up back in the restraints.

Thanks again and I'm happy to share the links!

Words from Shannon Harrison

Thankyou! Being on your show was an enjoyable conversation and I was honored to be on the show.

Words from Kunal Jain

Hello Danielle,
It was certainly a great experiencefor Mr. Sujit Lalwani being on your show. Thank you for having him. We have shared the link with ourcircles and they are loving the interview.
Nonetheless, a couple of them who were accessing the episode on iTunes/Apple Podcasts today shared that they weren't able to access it. I checked regarding the same, the episodes post July 31st don't seem to appear on iTunes. Could you check regarding the same and let me know if those episodes would be reinstated, Danielle.
Thanks & Regards

Words fromRose Brookins and Mina Petkova

Thanks, Win! I've been promoting it on Twitter since my morning, I hope there's some extra traffic coming your way.

I'll make sure I email Danielle back tomorrow.

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for having us on the show!

We had a wonderful time, and it felt like no time at all. The tone of the show was very warm and immediate, the feeling was of a conversation rather than a clinical type of Q&A. It was very dynamic and interesting, too.

One thing we should maybe offer as feedback is that we expected one set of questions (our own from the intake and the ones listed in your email introducing the podcast) but we were asked a few different ones. It was not a problem to think on our feet since we both (especially I) have a every energetic, quick type of personality, but we thought we'd mention it.

We saw an opening for us to talk about what we had prepared on, and we took it, Win offering the space and joining us very enthusiastically, so there was no disappointment there. We understand Win is going through a very stressful personal time so we completely understand how that would affect things.

We hope our feedback was helpful. We had a blast and couldn't believe how quickly the time went. We've promoted the podcast and Win's book on social media. (Bought the book, too, very much looking forward to reading and reviewing!)

All the best,
Mina

Words from Jason Gillikin

Thanks for the opportunity Win! I'll connect soon regarding coming on Beyond the Obituary!

Words from Lowery Lockard

Hi Danielle! Thank you for everything! Can you send me the link you want me to promote and the time it will be available. We will push it out there asap

Words from Robert Kelley

Hi Win and Danielle,

I wanted to thank you both for having me on the show, we had a great interview and talk.

It was my first interview and being a guest on a podcast and it was great to get to know Win. Thank you for keeping all the details in order for this, it is appreciated.

Speaking to Win before hitting the record button helped, and I have been listening to podcasts, including Ask Win in the car, so I was ready to share my story.

Win you are very conversational and I love this type of format for the show, versus someone just asking question after question like a job interview, you all have a great format.

Words from Dr. John DeGarmo

Thanks so much for the opportunity. I enjoyed it ,and look forward to listening to it.

Words from Dirk Knemeyer

Thank you win! Also, for the written name of the show and other marketing, my name is Dirk Knemeyer. Have a nice evening!

Thanks Danielle.

I enjoyed being on the show. I was sorry that Win didn't get my name correct, other than the first mention she was calling me Kirk instead of Dirk. That aside, though, I was happy to be on.

Dirk

Words from Kirk Burris

Hi Danielle:

Words from Juan Alcazar

Hi Danielle,

Here’s my feedback for being on the show.

I thought the back and forth was great because it didn’t feel like it was just me being interviewed but rather felt more like a good conversation about disability and creativity between us both. I actually liked things that way because it made the conversation flow better and Win was easy to chat to so that made the initial jitters of being on the podcast go away rather quickly.

Not sure if this is the feedback you were looking for so if you need me to be more specific let me know.

Juan

Words from Stefanie Kleinburd

Words Kyle Crooke

Hi Danielle,

Thank you so much for coordinating all this! It was my pleasure to be on Win's show. As far as feedback goes - I loved being on the show, and I felt that it was a very authentic and natural conversation! I really appreciated her insights on publishing and feel like we had great chemistry!

Please forward this message to Win :) I really appreciate you both for this opportunity, and I had so much fun with her on the podcast!

Also - the link for my particular podcast episode doesn't seem to be working - is there an alternative link where I can access the episode?

Thank you, Danielle and Win! I look forward to following up with you both when I'm closer to finishing my book - I'd love to hear Win's insights on how to self-publish through Amazon!

Words from Kam Knight

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for the links. As far as feedback about being on the show, I've just started podcasting recently, and most of them have been kinda boring, but this one with Win, in all honesty, I really enjoyed it. Win was extremely fun. And I am happy that she shared more about herself.

Couple comments:

1. In our interview, and even in prior interviews, the uberconference cut out; might be useful ensure it doesn't, but find another platform like skype or zoom.

2. When the interview cuts out, instead of posting two separate files online, it would be good to paste them together with an audio editing software. There is a free one called Audacity.

3. Sometimes, I felt Win talked over the guests, since she is interviewing guests, it would help to give them more opportunity to talk.

These are just minor feedback, but overall great show, I love what she is doing.

Kam

Words from Denise Hall

Hi Danielle
Thanks for sending this through, and for arranging the call.
We bounced around a few times but we got it there so well done.

I will push this out to my network as well.
Do you have a synopsis/key points of the call that I can use please?

Win was a delight to talk to, and certainly sounded like she was going to sort out her personal exit piece as a result. I would find it most satisfying to stay updated on where this journey takes her, and if she wants to update live, we can do this too. Well done Ladies, keep up the caring and sharing work you do.

Words from Lori Knudsen

Thank you Danielle. I will post the link today. I have been dealing with a nasty cold. I enjoyed speaking with Win and I appreciate the opportunity to be on her show.

Words from Sharon Lopez

Danielle,

Win is a strong woman that cares about self-published authors as much as I do. Talking with Win, I found we had several things in common regarding books. She is a gracious host, and I am honored that she asked me to be a guest on askwin. I had a great time being on the show. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Thanks so much,
Sharon Lopez

Words from Wendy Hewlett

Hi Danielle,

I really enjoyed being on Win's show yesterday. I don't have a lot of experience being interviewed, but Win made it a comfortable and easy experience. Listening to the show, I realized how many 'Ums' I say and now I know I need to work on that, so it has also been a great learning experience. I'm also glad to have connected with Win and I am following her on Twitter and Instagram now so that we can stay in touch. I have so much admiration for her and her determination not to let her disability stop her. Inspiring!

Thank you so much for having me on the show.

I had a great time on the show! My feedback would be to keep up the great work.

I will be sharing on my social channels.

Thanks again!

Words fromL. Salt

Hi, Danielle.

Thank you for this amazing experience.
I enjoyed talking to Win yesterday. It was my very first audio ("life") interview I've ever done, and Win managed to organise it as easy and pleasant for me as possible. The conversation developed naturally, and I didn't struggle unswering Win's question.
I'll share this podcast as much as I can. And I follow Win already.

I hope Win enjoyed our conversation as much as I did. And I hope her followers will enjoy it as well.

Kind regards,
Valeriya (L. Salt)

I had a great time on the call with Win.
Feedback: it was a fun conversation!
My only question is this: I noticed that in the show notes, the link to my website isn't a hyperlink. Is that something that can be updated?
I will share the interview on social.
Thanks!

I'll be posting about it on social media. Followed her Twitter accounts last night, and retweeted the AskAskWin account last night. A more customized, self-created tweet is scheduled for later today.
Being on the show was okay. I've done a bunch of these types of podcasts appearances, and in the end, you have to hope it helps. Best of luck to us all!

Words from Tony Pirotelli

Please thank Win
And all of you guys that made this morning possible and enjoyable thank you and may God bless you guys.

It was truly a very nice experience, Win does not have to worry about her accent, I understood everything she said and I felt at ease,Win was and handled it professionally and pleasantly and I will share this with other people again thank you, we have a small YouTube channel vintage grapes production, made a couple of low budget movies Christian Base humor, named just like wine the older the better YouTube when I get the time I will share with that audiences well thank you.

Tony

Words from Martin Baumeister

Thanks Danielle

it was great to be on the show. Win made it easy and kept it conversational. I also enjoyed her sharing some of her own history openly.
I hope she got something out of it as well.

A few areas that I believe could be improved to make the experience even better:

I called Win last week as you recommended to clarify more on format and expectation, left a message but never got a call back.
That would have been ok if you hadn’t offered it up. Perhaps she just didn’t get my voicemail.

When I asked you why she would want to interview me, you never answered that question. It would be good for people to know what sparked the interest. Otherwise it could leave the impression that you are just trying to get as many people as possible rather than a targeted audience. I would think that there should be a common thread through all the interviews to create as much followership as possible. See for instance Louise H Reid and Dov Barron.

I would recommend to standardize the invitation part even more. I got quite confused with the various emails that seemed to have changing information.
The phone number changed after you send me the original invitation, which I didn’t realize until way past the start time while I was waiting on the other conference number as you indicated to wait for Win since she might finish up another interview.

The original invitation which I used to create my calendar entry and hence used to call in

You can access the call by calling 1 (302) 202-1110 then enter in the PIN # 190945. If you have an iPhone please feel free to ask Win questions by texting her at 970-618-8840 or Danielle at 816-591-3399.Please call her 5 minutes ahead of the scheduled interview so you and Win can get acquainted before going live. Win will guide the interview with a handful of questions, lasting 30 minutes.

Words from Elizabeth Lim

Hi Danielle

Apologies for the delayed response, I wanted to find out what some close friend's thought about the podcast before providing feedback.
It was a great experience and the questions Win asked were perfect. She is a natural journalist!
Everyone I've spoken to says that the flow of the interview was like telling a story which is super positive.

Thanks again,

Words from Steve Sullivan

Hi Win and Danielle,

Thank you for having me on your podcast. Your podset is very professional in your production, including making it easy to join the show.

I enjoyed the conversational style of the podcast, and I wish we got paid for each use of "LinkedIn" on the show, we would have made a tidy sum.😀You made me feel comfortable sharing and I hope my story touches some of your listeners.

Thank you for the opportunity and I would be glad to come on again in the future.
Best wishes,
Steve Sullivan

Words from Rebecca L. Holland

Dear Danielle,

Thank you so much! It was a great experience. I will happily promote the show and my episode on all my social media channels.

On my blog, I write book reviews. As I mentioned, I recently finished Win's book. I plan on posting a positive review of her book on my website in the near future. If I sent you some questions, would Win be willing to answer them so that I could include an author interview with my book review? It's okay if she is too busy or isn't available. I just wanted to ask :)

Thanks again and have a great day!

Your Fan in PA,
-Rebecca

Hi Danielle,

It looks like Win and I got disconnected before our conversation ending. I was in the processing of telling her where people can find me. I will insert that information below. Please let me know if you guys would like to redo any part of the podcast. Thanks again! :)

Thanks, Danielle. It was fun being on with Win this morning.

Words from Randy Heller

Hi Danielle,

I had a blast talking to Win today. Thanks so much for sharing these links! I'll be adding this to my feed tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, please note that the link you provided for iHeart Radio is broken, and the one for Google Play Music is only current up to September 2018.

Also, I noticed that when the description was copied over from the Google doc, any double or single quotes turned into some wacky text. Is there any chance you could fix this? As far as I can tell, it seems to be happening on iTunes, Spotify, Simplecast, and Tune In.

I've cleaned the description up below, so you could copy it from here ...

On Ask Win today (Wednesday, January 2, 2019), Best-Selling Author, Win C welcomes Randy Heller. Randy is a digital solutions consultant with 22 years of experience as a web developer, writer, marketing professional, programmer, and digital strategist. His Master's degree is in Creative Writing, he's largely self-taught in all other areas, and he prides himself on being an introvert, a polymath, a generalist, a multipotentialite, a "Jack of All Trades," and a bit of a MacGyver. In late 2018, he found a new home on LinkedIn, where he frequently engages with scores of amazing people, writes weekly articles on entrepreneurial topics, and recently stepped out of his comfort zone to post his first video. Words from Christine Robins

Win C is delightful and graciously let’s her guests share their journeys so her audience can truly get to know them. I also love her own passion for fashion and her journey towards journalism. I love her humor and wit, she’s an amazing woman.

She’s easy to talk to and open so you don’t feel intimidated or awkward.

Thanks again for having me on the show.

Words from Alison Fischer

Thanks Danielle for sending this off to me. Is it okay for me to share on LinkedIn or do you want me to wait for it to get uploaded? I'm on castbox and I don't see it just there yet. No problem for me to wait.

do you know if there's a way for me to do so there's a screenshot with a snippet of the podcast to send out to people in a post? I've seen other people do that before but I'm not sure how to do it.

I had a great time talking to Win today it was just like chatting with a friend for 40 minutes, super relaxed and overall great experience. I think we were able to cover all the really key topics important to both of us and I just listened back to the podcast and I think it came out great. I hope she feels the same. I'd be interested to hear her feedback?

I loved speaking with her the very first time on our prep call and so glad that we got a chance to do this.

Words from John Gora

Hello Danielle,

Thanks for the link.

Let me say it was a dream over lived to have been hosted on your podcast and by the brilliant Win Charles on Ask Win.

The interview was the best rated and moderated even through we had an issue with signal disruption. Given another chance I would not miss to be on this show once again. Thank you for the great organization and tireless scheduling of the interview imuntil it happened.

God bless,
John Gora.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the opportunity!

Hi Danielle! That was quick. Wonderful. I will share it soon with that link.

One thing: my site is wrong in the last sentence of the 2 paragraphs about me: "To learn more about Jared visitwww.ksw.solutions."
(It should be

)... "or find him on LinkedIn as Jared J. WIESE.

Words from Mark Gillespie

Danielle, thanks for this, and we’ve tweeted out the link.

Since you asked for feedback, I am a bit concerned that you appear to have lifted part of our “The WhiskyCast Story” page from the WhiskyCast web site and pasted it in to the SimpleCast description for the podcast episode. That story is our origin story for the show, as told by the rest of the family. We don’t mind when others quote from it or the other content on our web site, but we do take issue when someone copies an entire story (or most of it) from the site with no attribution or context. If you’d like a regular bio to put in there, I’d be glad to provide one.

Also, wanted to let you know that the link to the WhiskyCast web site at the end of the summary and episode notes is not active, and your “visit our website” link on the left side of the SimpleCast page goes to a dead link on Wix.

One other issue that I noticed, and the woman being interviewed right before me yesterday had the same issue…after the interview ends with Win’s signoff, the line simply goes dead at your end and the guest is left wondering whether they’re done or whether someone’s going to come back on the line to say goodbye. It leaves the guest in the awkward position of not knowing whether to hang up or not. Thought you should be aware of that…might be a good idea to stop the recording at your end (I heard the audio prompts at the beginning of our interview) before hanging up just to let the guest know they’re clear.

If you have any questions or if there’s anything we can do to help in the future, please let us know.

Best,
Mark

Words from Patricia Roberts

Hi Danielle,
Thank you for sending this. I enjoyed being on the show today.

In terms of feedback, I found Win to be a delightful and extremely knowledgeable host and so easy to converse with. You were very helpful and well-organized with the preparation materials for the interview and I appreciate that you touched base with reminders for today’s show and with episodes for me to listen to in preparation. That was helpful to me in that I had a fairly good idea of Win’s style and what to expect.

I hope the interview met your expectations.

Thank you again,
Patricia

Words from Melissa Shepherd

Hi Danielle,

I would like to thank you and Win for having me on. Win does a great job with making people feel at ease and sharing her experiences.

The only constructive feedback I could give is for people like myself who are nervous and their first time, Is to ask a direct question when it’s our turn to speak. My nerves caused me to only remember the last words said. 😬.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be on your show and take another step forward to overcoming my fear. This is a step I needed to make if I want to make a difference in this world. Keep doing great things!

Melissa Shepherd

Words from Amy Bovaird

Dear Danielle,
Thank you so much for inviting me to interview with Win Charles. She is amazing and, I'm so happy she is going back to school to follow her journalism degree.

Thank you for asking for my feedback in regard to the interview process and interview itself.

In preparing for the interview, everything was clear except for the blog post Win wanted me to write. As I mentioned previously, I had no idea she planned to promote me through it as well as the interview itself. I think it could have been a fun addition.

On the plus side, I enjoyed the interview and especially liked the question, "If I could have anyone teach me, who would it be and why?" It really made me think.

Win was prompt and kindly asked me before the interview began how to pronounce my first and last name, and did her best to put me at ease. I was grateful for attention to those details.

In regard to the interview itself, I thought it went well.

As the interview drew to a close, she asked me about my contact information and also reminded her listeners to consider buying my books. I hope some listeners did just that.

Some considerations ...

I would have liked for her to have been more familiar with my background and my books. I didn't get a chance to mention my third book, Seeking Solace: Finding Joy After Loss. But the link is mentioned along with the interview link so people can still find it.

The only question I felt uncomfortable with was when Win asked me if I could make a living with off books or if I was on SSI. I felt the topic was too personal to discuss. It might just be me. I was able to answer the question, however, and we moved on. She was very sweet about the need for people to purchase books and support me.

Just another little point, my bio was printed in lieu of the missing blog post and I was a little surprised to find personal notes to Win included where the public could see them (i.e. my note to Win "I'd really like to promote my books." Yikes!

Also, there were a couple of questions I could list in advAnce for Win to ask me specifically. One was how vision loss is perceived by society (too low expectations, a very relatable point for those with disability) and how I use my books to change society's perceptions. I think we ran out of time. :D

Overall, it was a positive experience! Every time I give an interview, I learn more about how to present myself. Although I am a public speaker, I've only given a handful of interviews on podcasts. So I hope to improve each time. I'm very happy for Max's introduction and the opportunity to connect with Win's listeners. :D

I did purchase her memoir about living with Cerebral Palsy and look forward to reading it.

Thank you very much for all the time you took with me. I will subscribe to the Ask Win podcast!

All my best to you and Win and I hope you both liked the interview. :D

Sincerely,
Amy Bovaird

Words from Jill Jaracz

Hi Danielle,

Thanks so much for this -- one quick correction. Could you please change the title of the show to Jill Jaracz & Alison Brown? The first sentence of the episode summary should also read:

On Ask Win today (Monday, December 10, 2018), Best-Selling Author, Win C welcomes Jill Jaracz and Alison Brown.

Since our podcast is hosted by 2 people, it was important for both of us to be on this interview. That meant Win got a 2-for-1 interview! I apologize for not being clear about that in my communication.

Once that correction is made, please let me know and we'll promote the show.

I'll ask Alison if she has any feedback. Personally, I had a lot of fun -- it was a nice, easy conversation and I thought it went really well.

Thanks so much,
Jill

Words from Brett Weiss

Jambo Win:

I want to thank Win for giving me so much time on the phone this morning to talk about the Weiss Scholarship Foundation and our work to empower Kenyan children by giving them HOPE and a great education. The time you have given me will help us to help these children which will in turn make Kenya and our world a better place.

Words from Tyler Hatch

Hi Danielle!

I really enjoyed it this morning and have listened to the show a couple times. I have shared it everywhere I am able to and tagged Win.

Could I ask you to try to hyperlink my website address in the show summary? You can try highlighting it and right-clicking it to hyperlink it. This would allow people to click the link to go directly to my website .

Thanks!

Words from Paul Cheall

Hi Danielle. Thanks for the opportunity to be on your show. Much enjoyed and although I dreaded the though of listening back to myself I was relieved that you edited it very well!
I’ll share your link though social media over the weekend.
Have a great Christmas!

Words from Susan Goebel

Hi Danielle,

Thank you for letting me know the link.

I have given the go ahead for my social media person to promote the podcast.

Win was lovely to speak with. She is passionate and articulate!

My only feedback would be that in other podcasts, the host comes on and talks with the interviewee for a bit (that didn’t happen – we jumped right in) and at the end, the host and I have done a wrap up as well (between the two of us without the recording (that didn’t happen). These two actions lead to smoother interview and understanding of next steps.

Otherwise – it was lovely! Please pass along a thank you to Win.

Warmly,
Susan

Words from Rick Nuske

Words from Jeff Lee

Hi, Danielle --

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier, but I spent the past couple of days dealing with a family situation that took a while to resolve.

First off, I really enjoyed the interview. That said, I had no idea the show's topic was going to be Student Loans, so I didn't really have a chance to do any research to prepare. The best I could do, was talk about them from my own experience in college almost 50 years ago. I hope what I had to say was relevant.

In listening back to the interview via your link, I noticed that your volume levels could have been higher. Don't know whether this was due to your computer, phone, or microphone, but there were a couple of times when I had listen to a question twice, in order to get what was being asked.

Ok, that's the most critical stuff I could come up with.

Like I said, I really enjoyed talking with you, and wish you the best of luck with the show and your MFA program.

Thanks again,

-Jeff Lee

Words fromShelley Allen

Hi, Danielle!

I enjoyed being a guest on Win's podcast very much! She is so kind and helpful!
I am a very shy introvert and had never been on a podcast before but Win knew just how to make me feel comfortable and safe.

I would like to ask whether the Bio information can be replaced with this edited version (there were many grammar errors in the one shown on the link above and that looks TERRIBLE for an editor like me. Haha

Here is the same information but with the errors eliminated:

On Ask Win today (Monday, November 26, 2018), Best-Selling Author, Win C welcomes Shelley Allen. When Shelley first opened her bookstore and coffee bar in a small town east of Dallas, Shelley did not know the difference between an espresso and a cappuccino, but she really wanted to sell books! As Owner/Operator of the store, Shelley created all of the marketing and advertising collateral for the business, including quarterly newsletters, direct-mail marketing, and newspaper ads. After five years Shelley was forced to close the store in 2009, during the economic recession. Shelley then earned her M.Ed. at S.M.U. and taught ELA for six years to hundreds of students in grades 9-12 in Carrollton, Texas. Before owning the bookstore, Shelley had years of experience writing articles for the newsletters published by her church and its private school. More recently, since June (when Shelley resigned from teaching), Shelley has edited several books, articles, and documents for clients nationwide. For example, Shelley edited online articles for the support site of an IT SaS B2B company in her hometown of Dallas; Shelley edited a book of poems titled "Pet Loss Poems" by Wendy Van de Poll (which is now available on Amazon); and Shelley edited a children's book titled "Mousetree" by Michael Malone, who also illustrated the book. It is a quaint story for middle-school readers, with over 270 pages and 26 beautiful full-color illustrations. Shelley has authored a book on Fibonacci (to be released in December) and edited countless documents, including business correspondence and academic content such as essays, research papers, curriculum, lesson plans, and assessments. Finally, for three years Shelley has posted thousands of creative writing pieces (mostly poems and short stories) on her social media pages on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram at @shellennessee and on her freelance business webpage:

RuthlessRedPen.com

. Shelley’s “Why” is helping people get a job, keep a job, and do a job better. Her joy is in helping people get and keep their jobs because she has had many family members who could not get or keep their jobs, so they suffered depression, addictions, homelessness, and worse (e.g. her little sister, Lynn, hung herself five years ago). Shelley’s and Lynn’s little brother (who also suffered depression, addictions, and joblessness until passing away this January) are Shelley’s “Why.” So, when Shelley can help someone get a job, she is happy. The best way Shelley can help others is by correcting the grammar errors in their communications, such as applications, resumes and cover letters, etc. To learn more about Shelley, please visit

I would appreciate you doing that very much!!!

It was really nice talking to Win. Had a lot of fun.

Once I figured out what was going on it was fine.

Other than that good stuff and thanks

I will keep these links save and I have already begun to share them out.

As far as feedback goes I would have to say it was certainly great fun and I really enjoyed getting to be interviewed by Win. Since this was my first time being interviewed on a podcast it was a new experience but Win made me feel right at home and so the conversation came easily.

So again thank you and I am glad to have met the both of you.

Hello Danielle,

Thank you so much for sending me the interview link. We will definitely share this in our blog site, websites, and all social media platforms. Gillian also mentioned to me about the donation part and follow in Instagram.

I have asked her to email you and Win personally about her positive feedback on the interview, and she advised me that she had a wonderful time with the interview. She said that Win was delightful— down to earth, funny, opinionated and inspiring.

Cheers!

Words from Gillian Steven

I think we got disconnected Win.
I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with you. Thank you very much for including me on your show, it was a delight!
I wish you much luck in your education, completing your journalism program, and in your "school job"
I made a mistake with my email... it is

... no period between my first and last name.
Have a wonderful rest of your day Win, and you as well Danielle.

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for the links, I will spread them around :).

Being on the show was a smooth and enjoyable experience. I am very impressed by how smooth and easy you made it for your guests, from the initial email inquiry to the calendaring to the intake form. The links were all there, the info asked for was good, and the experience was user friendly all the way around. Thank you for doing such a great job!

Cheers,
Meilani

Words from Tina Ketchie Stearns

Thanks Danielle. The interviews both yesterday and today were wonderful. I am so impressed with the work Win and you are doing, and I was honored to be invited to contribute to your show and help the listeners understand hospice better.

I am here to help you in any way I can. Win mentioned a future interview in a month or so, and I would be more than happy to do that!

Please thank Win for me for inviting me to do not one but two interviews. I feel truly blessed!
Tina

Words from Riley Morrison

Hi,

Thank you. I will share it.

I had fun on the show, especially talking to a smart woman who is doing her best to make a name for herself. It was also good that we both share some of the same physical disabilities, and we were both teachers.

So, the conversation was good and I hope listeners enjoy it too. Win and you are doing importantwork in showing people that disabled people are valuable members of our community too.

Oh, I sent a donation to Win's Pay Pal of $10 Australian dollars. I am not sure how much that is in US dollars.

I hope she got it.

Thanks for having me on the show:)

Words from Insha Caldwell

It was a great experience. I hope we can do it again very soon

Words from Alexia Anastasio

Awesome thank you I will share this tomorrow!

Words from Sarah Baethge

Thank you!
I enjoyed working with you two. This was my first spoken interview.
The show did inspire me to study up on CP a bit. I have a character in the book I'm working on now who is trying to deal with some physicaldifficulty. I already have an explanationplanned of how his environmentcaused it, so it probably won't be CP, but learning your coping strategies should help me to plan out how he acts.

Hi Danielle, thanks so much, I just shared it!
I really enjoyed being on the show, so thanks so much for having me.

Words from Dr. Linda Abujaber

Thank you for having me on the show. I think we had a good conversation and I enjoyed it
Is there any way you can edit it so Win introduces me as Dr. Linda? That’s how I’m branding myself:)
Also can you maybe send me the podcast without Win’s comments on the GDPR? I’d like to share the podcast on my Facebook and it will confuse my listeners:)
Thank you very much,
Dr. Linda

Words from Mark Stay

Thanks Danielle! I really enjoyed speaking to Win and thanks for your help in setting it up.

My one bit of feedback is on the sound quality. I know Win has been having laptop issues recently, but have you considered using something like zencastr? It’s really easy to use and the sound quality is so much better than Skype/phone… Here’s a link:

https://zencastr.com

All the best,
Mark

Words from Tony Moze

Danielle,

Thank you for taking the time to coordinate a time for me to get on the Ask Win show. I can tell that you work very hard to make sure ever thing is completed and process goes smoothly. I noticed that there is much effort and meticulousness put into the intake and questionnaire for applicants/interviews, and shows that Ask Win takes their jobs seriously.

I guess my feedback would be:
Make the second questionnaire shorter - It got to a point where became very tedious and overwhelming.

Other than that, I hope all goes well with this podcast. I appreciate what you and Win do. Win was a delight!

TM

Words fromSimone and Malcolm Collins

Hi again Kelly,

It just occurred to me that the question was about the conversation and not the actual recording. We had a delightful time talking with Win and love her dry sense of humor.

Thanks for all your help!

Words from Mac Prichard

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for the URL. I'll check it out.

As for feedback, I enjoyed the conversation with Win very much.Only two comments about the experience: 1) I think you asked me to respond to 20 different questions, (it took about 20 minutes), and I think Win asked only a few of them. 2) Your instructions said the interview would take15 to 20 minutes and it lasted more than 45. I was fortunate that I didn't have a hard stop.

Thanks again for the opportunity to be on the show.

Take care,

Mac

Hi!

No show in that link, can you please resend? I thought the show went well! I liked interviewing Win a lot. She's a natural! Her energy and light come through, and her points are clearly focused on helping her audience and making an authentic connection to her fans. It's awesome! For constructive feedback I don't have much, butI think Win can improve on being more succinct in her talking points so the show keeps moving along. We can all work on that one.

How did you think the show went?

That was SO fun. Thanks for having me.

Unfortunately, we're having a couple of problems with the playing of the podcast. It catches some of the chatting we did before the show - and the talking is so sped up that you can't understand us. Unfortunately, I can't use this.

Hopefully someone there can correct these problems so our audiences can hear the interview. Best of luck, my dear - and I hope to hear from you with GOOD news soon! :-)
I needed to back off yesterday, Win - because the back and forth was becoming challenging. I'd be happy to promote your podcast whenever you can get me an edited version. Also Win, I'd really appreciate your promised LinkedIn skill endorsem*nts. I'll send you an invitation to reconnect now - and I look forward to seeing you there. The process takes a couple of minutes. If you need me to guide you, I'd be happy to! :-)

Enjoy your Aspen evening.

How are you? I just listened to your last podcast of Butterflies of Wisdom when you interviewed Todd Crawford. I'm sorry to hear your mom passed away, from a brain aneurysm. My mom too had a brain aneurysm (that later hemorrhaged). My mom's brain aneurysm was a rare type known as a Subarachnoid hemorrhage. Fortunately my mom survived. Seven years later my dad passed away from a 100% fatal neurodegenerative disease called CJD, so I know what it feels like to loose a parent when you are young. Thanks & keep up the good work' with the podcast

Words from Jesse Dujari

First, I would like to thank you for having me on.

I will tell you, the whole process to get on was quite frustrating. Over the last three months, you guys have been contacting me, asking me, scheduling with me and then no-show, no-call for scheduled times, no explanation as to why. I later learned you had a health crisis and so when I again was contacted for the show I agreed to join, but that contact was also with no mention, apology or even acknowledgment about the previous debacle, as though it were a first contact for an interview. Again, weird scheduling problems, misunderstandings on days and times, several back-and-forths and reschedulings, and then day of the show the time was pushed and pushed, first 15 minutes then an hour, leaving me unable to schedule other things during the afternoon, unsure how long the interview would be, or when it would be. I myself run a show and have run interview shows in the past, and being on this end of things was a good experience. I want to make sure my guests never have to deal with all that uncertainty, confusion, and unprofessionalism though I know at times I too was guilty of it. The scheduling issues were a struggle, but when I came on the show and found you hadn't even read my bio and knew nothing at all about me, that also felt awkward and unprofessional. I would suggest you take the time to make yourself familiar with your guest and their work so you can at a minimum introduce them with confidence and at an absolute minimum know their names and business names before hitting that record button.

Those are my only suggestions.
Again, thank you for having me on, and running a show isn't easy.

Jesse Dujari

Words from Taryn Maxximillian Dafoe

Hey, Win.

Thanks for asking. You know, there is something. Let me ask you... How come you posted our interview without editing it? Several people who listened to the interview said that it sounded unprofessional that you and Juan Carlos didn't know my name, and that it made me look bad too.

During that episode we had a good conversation and there were some things we discussed that people told me helped them—one person told me that she emailed the episode to 4 friends, each who would benefit from listening to our conversation about what I did to bring myself out of depression. But even she said that she was shocked at the beginning when you and Juan Carlos called me Maxwell. Which is extra not cool because there is a singer named Maxwell... and he goes by just the one name, Maxwell.

I go by both names, Maxximillian Dafoe. All writers do. But you just introduced me by my first name, and not even by MY first name, but someone else's.

Honestly Win, it wasn't a good experience for me. It was embarrassing and disappointing to discover that you didn't know my name. After all the text messages we exchanged, after you said you listened to my podcast (where I always say my name) ... after all that you still didn't know my name.

When we finally got on the phone together a few minutes before the show, you called me Maxwell—and I corrected you. Remember? I said, "Who is Maxwell?" and you said, "You!" and I told you, "My name isn't Maxwell."

But when the show started, you still introduced me as Maxwell and I had to stop the interview, Juan Carlos had already started—without even greeting me, he just jumped into a question—and I had to interrupt him to tell your audience (and you!) that I am Maxximillian Dafoe, author and podcaster—not Maxwell. Neither you nor he really acknowledged the slip-up in a meaningful way... he just plowed on without trying to smooth it over or anything. It wasn't a good feeling.

Even a third of the way into the interview, Juan Carlos called me Maxwell AGAIN!

After all the thoughtful emails I received months before our interview asking me questions and asking me for information, I expected that you and your team would have been better prepared.

I understand, Win, that sometimes sh*t happens and sometimes sh*t goes wrong but there really is no good reason why my experience should have been that way.

But it was ... and you could have made it right. You could have made it right by taking a few minutes to chop off the top of the audio and record yourself saying, "Hello everyone. Welcome to butterflies of Wisdom. Today we have author and modern radio dramatist Maxximillian Dafoe on the show..." or you could have called me author and podcaster, whatever—but you know what I'm saying.

Why didn't you do that? (You don't have to tell me, but it's something to consider.)

You wanted me to share the episode across all my networks but you didn't take the time to make the episode right. You know the first 2 minutes is the most crucial content of a podcast because that's when people decide to listen or not.

It isn't my place to tell you how to run your show, Win, but I had to let you know how it was for me. I did put a link to your episode on my website in my Guest Appearances on my sidebar but I would liked to have promoted it a lot more, which I don't feel it's in my best interest to do because of the many comments I've received about the intro.

If you ever do edit the intro, let me know and I'll promote the hell out of it the way I do for other shows I'm on. It was a good conversation for the most part, and I'd be pleased to share it with a better introduction

Hi Danielle,

Words from Licia Berry

Hi Danielle,
Just touching base. The interview happened this morning with Carla. Is she a new co-host?

She has asked me to give feedback about her. I felt mixed about it. While she did a good job of asking a few questions and did not interrupt me when I spoke, she did a lot of speaking on behalf of her own book and about her own life. I didn't feel I had the full opportunity to explore my topic.

I'm nonetheless grateful for the opportunity to be interviewed on your show! Thank you and Windows for the opportunity. I hope that your listeners got something positive out of the interview.

Thank you,
Licia Berry

Words from Dr. Kelly Morrow-Baez

Hi Win! I just wanted to thank you and Juan Carlos for having me on your podcast this week. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed an interview so much! I sincerely appreciate your time and expertise!

An idea came up and I thought I'd run it past you...I know that people with various abilities often struggle with the same mindset issues that we all face when it comes to finding time to exercise, making the commitment to do so, and making healthy changes with diet. As I was saying on the show, I think that mainstream fitness culture marginalizes people with disabilities, leaving people without the support that we all need from time to time. I think there are so many people who want to accomplish what you and Juan Carlos have accomplished athletically, but it's hard to see how to act on that desire and motivation. I do an 8-week coaching program by video chat and I was wondering if you might know of 4-6 people who might be interested? My goal with any of my clients is help them identify their own personal goals and support them in crafting a plan of action that really resonates. For this group, I was thinking it would be cool if they were a team working toward a goal (perhaps like a 5k or something) but that's not necessary, just an idea. Let me know your thoughts, I'd be happy to talk with you more or email more info!

Thank you again!
Kelly

So much fun talking to you today! Thank you again for your time. :)Here is the promised follow up to the question. :)

I did some research on PCOS, and since it is associated with insulin resistance, I would suggest following an eating plan that is specific to reversing diabetes. I talked to a nutritionist/health coach on this episode, which you can share with your listeners. She talked about how she reversed her diabetes through a whole-foods, low glycemic index eating plan:

Ihope that is helpful. :)

Yes! Let me look at my schedule for a call this week. It might have to be next week, but I'll be in touch with my calendar. Sending you tons of gratitude, Kathryn

Words fromMichael Hider

Dear Win,

Thank you so much for having me as a guest on your show today, it is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I thought our interview went very well. I believe it is one of the best interviews I have ever had. I thank you for being such a marvelous and most gracious host.

I truly believe in my message that people can have a good and peaceful life by learning how to control their thought dwelling. I know it works because I have been enjoying such a life for many decades.

I also believe that you understand the importance of this message which can bring so very many desperate people back from despair to Enduring Peace of Mind. One very hurting lady, after reading my book, wrote me and said, "Thank you for giving my life back to me!" That is an incredible and most uplifting testimonial!

Naturally, I am very much motivated to get this message out to as many people as possible. You may be a God-send toward that end. If you are willing, I would greatly appreciate your providing me with names of as many radio and/or TV shows that you believe would be interested in having me as a guest. I would also greatly appreciate your allowing me to use you as a reference when I contact other shows.

Thank you again for your kindness and may God continue to richly bless you and your show, Mike Hider

Hi Danielle:

I enjoyed that very much! I hope the feeling was mutual with Win and Juan. It was my first podcast so I was a little nervous.

I am going to make a donation now to Butterflies of Wisdom – because this is truly a wonderful and amazing thing you are all doing!

Will I get a link to the podcast? Also, when will it air? Also, Can I link it back to my website?

Thank you again!

Keep on inspiring to grow!

Words fromDr. Joanny Liu

Thanks! It was a truly delightful experience. Keep up the fantastic work you do!

Words fromJulie Lewin

Dear Win ... it was wonderful being interviewed by you yesterday. I really enjoyed your personality and your enthusiasm.

I have Hayley organising for the interview to go to our mailing list and on our social media channels ... is the link that you sent me the best link or do you have a podcast link to your iTunes account?

I will also get you to help me with podcasting and the book as soon as I have finished editing two books to be formatted for publishing which has to be done by Sunday.

I look forward to staying connected.

Warmest regards,
Julie

Thank you still in shock you want to interview me, so many other artisans that have much better talent and beautiful work. I am again, honored and humbled. Enjoy your Christmas and New Year.

Feedback on Kathleen's love it and healing so yoga interview

Hey Kath!

Great interview! I listened to it on my phone while I was at work today. Wow The Good Wife, Oprah, and Miss Piggy....we have a lot in common, lol. Really enjoyed the girl interviewing you too. Is she here in KC? She really knew her sh*t about the Kindle app and buying thru third parties. I didn't know I could get Kindle books on my iPad...that was news to me. Even though I prefer paper books over electronic ones. It's still nice to know your options.

I admire you for following your dream and publishing a book. That's a huge accomplishment and I'm proud and honored to know you.

Take care,

Love Alainia
