The mood was perfect. The sun was starting to set, and the snow around the Land Of Iron added a cool gradient. Naruto had talked to Mifune about taking someone on a date after the Summit and Mifune had suggested that the Blond Kage had him organize the date during the sunset. The 2 Uzumakis trailed off to a nice campsite, just a few miles from the hotel. They weren't using chakra or anything, just walking while holding each other's hands. 'Nothing can go wrong.' The blond kage let out a small smile thinking about the plans for his date.
They made their way to a small campsite with a few of Naruto's shadow clones. Naruto covered Karin's eyes telling her that it was a secret. Naruto dismissed his shadow clones, who had prepared some of the finishing touches of the date while he was chatting with the other kage. It wasn't much but still looked pretty. There was a table, covered with an Uzumaki-themed tablecloth, and two chairs facing each other under the cold gradient of the sun setting just to their right side. On the table was a miso ramen hot pot surrounded by two sets of wooden chopsticks. Next to the table was a few planks of wood slowly burning, providing a nice set of comfortable temperatures. Naruto switched himself with a shadow clone to sit Karin down and sat down right in front of her.
He covered her eyes and the shadow clone walked a few meters away, before disappearing into thin air. Naruto slowly lifted his hands that were covering his date's face and she took a moment to realize how her surroundings had changed. After looking around herself, the redhead finally spoke.
"Naru~, this is so... perfect."
"I'm glad you like it my Kawai Lass~."
Suddenly, Karin found herself looking at Naruto's face as he looked back into her eyes; scarlet lost in red ones. Naruto and Karin both absent-mindedly used their chopsticks to pick up miso ramen out of the hot pot and slowly began to chew on the last of them. What they didn't realize is that they had the very same noodle in their mouths and bit down on each other, their faces gradually getting closer to each other.
Before they noticed it, they had bit the noodle down to the point where their lips were just inches apart from each other. Karin's blush reappeared at being so close to her special friend as he continued to bite down the noodle and headed toward his lass's mouth until his lips touched her as he bit the final noodle in half. Karin's body froze while her soft lips were pressed on Naruto's and she fought her instinct and pressed her lips on his with her movement. Naruto's hand gently framed Karin's chin as they kissed she fought being light-heed from both the quick and joyous surprise of the kiss.
A few moments later, the two of them sat back down and Karin covered her face to hide the extreme blush on her face. 'I hope you're proud of me, Ero~Senin' Naruto let out a silent chuckle wondering what his sensei would say. Seeing that Karin was too embarrassed to say anything, the blond kage spoke.
"Seems like you liked it, Karin~chan."
Oh if words could kill, Karin would be critically wounded by the soft pitch of her special friend. She could not control herself anymore and unsealed a mask and put it on her face. Naruto smirked as a shadow clone yoinked it and vanished in a yellow flash.
"Ah ah ah. You're not hiding that Kawai face of yours, darling~. Now since you dropped your chopstick during our kiss, I'm gonna feed you."
Karin hesitantly opened her mouth as Naruto slowly fed her. It wasn't that she didn't want him to feed her. Hell! She would kill to be fed by him! But, she was still pretty embarrassed by the sudden kiss. A few minutes passed before a certain kage guard appeared near the tent.
"Naruto!"
The two Uzumaki jolted up by the sudden intrusion during their date. Naruto upon realizing that it was none other than Yamato, created a shadow clone to settle Karin and went to talk to his guard. He knew that something must be wrong since Kakashi wouldn't let Yamato disturb him during a date.
"What's the problem, Captain Yamato?"
"I- It's Madara! He came back and attacked us once again! Kakashi~san is critically injured and so are the other kages!"
"Impossible! Captain Yamato, come with me. Elephant! Tora! Fox!"
His 3 ANBU guards teleported to him and went to bow. Naruto gave them two Hiraishin kunai before speaking.
"Take Karin back to the village and inform the hospital that we have critical casualties on the way. I need one of you to throw one in the village and keep the other with you. Once you do this, transport chakra to the kunai with you and I'll handle it from there. Go now!"
With this, the 3 ANBU departed with Karin at high speeds with Elephant carrying Karin on his shoulder to get to Konoha as fast as they could. Naruto created a summoning toad to inform the hospital of the emergency, and retreated to the hotel with Yamato. There, they found multiple samurai lying dead and Mifune lying injured with the other kage and their guards. Naruto dashed through the room creating multiple shadow clones, one for each injured person. All in all, he had to create 13 clones with enough chakra for 3 Hiraishins and went toward Kakashi, who tried to speak while coughing blood. His mask was half torn from what seemed like burn and electric marks.
"N- Naruto."
"Sensei, hold on. You're not going to die on me, no one is! I'm gonna take us all to Konoha at once."
Hearing this, a severely injured Gaara asked his friend.
"H- how will you do this?
"You will find out, my dear friend. Everyone! Get ready to be teleported in 3, 2, 1!"
With that, all of them vanished in a yellow flash and appeared in a forest, next to Naruto's ANBU guards. Naruto created 4 more clones and took Karin from Elephant. His clones teleported everyone to the kunai in Konoha, while Naruto flashed into his house and helped Karin sit down. He dashed open his wardrobe and pulled out his cape. It was just like his father's except that it said Rokudaime instead of Yondaime.
"I'll be right back."
That was all he said before vanishing and re-appearing next to the injured Kages. He sensed an incoming kick before striking down a specific leaf jonin.
"Guy~san, they are all our guests and need medical attention right now!"
Multiple medical nins rushed out hearing this and carried the injured kages, their guards, Mifune, and Kakashi into the hospital. A hurried trio of Sakura, Ino, and Shizune rushed toward the blond kage questioning him why they were called in such a hurry.
"All the Kages, their guards, Kakashi~sensei, and the moderator of the summit are injured. I need every single medical-nin on this. If you are low on chakra then let me know. Now go!"
"Hai, Hokage~sama!"
A few hours later, after everything had calmed down, a certain copy ninja started to wake up. He slowly sat back on his bed and notice that the other Kage and their guards had started to wake up with him. A small yellow flash appeared on the window right next to Kakashi as everyone turned their heads to the figure. 'Sensei?' Kakashi looked at the figure in awe imagining his sensei right there as he had been a long time ago. The copy ninja's line of thought was broken as soon as the figure spoke.
"I certainly hope that everyone is okay. I'd like to apologize for my absence during the attack upon you all. Raikage~san, Tsuchikage~san, Mizukage~san, my dear friend Gaara, Mifune~san and Kakashi~sensei. I wish that all of you will forgive me."
All the kage were pretty angry over the Hokage's words. Not because of his absence but because the young boy was taking too much tension from it. The Tsuchikage decided to talk to the boy as no one else spoke.
"Heh. Don't give yourself too much credit boy. All of us are responsible for not seeing it coming. You were just lucky that you weren't in the hotel. Speaking of, where were you?"
"I had planned a date with Karin after the summit and was with her all that time."
The Mizukage, now feeling a bit of guilt for disrupting the boy during his date, decided to tease the blond kage to ease the mood of the room. She spoke in a soft pitch while biting her lip.
"Don't think about it that much, we're also sorry for disturbing your date. I would be happy to go on a date with you as compensation, Ho.Ka.Ge~sama."
"H- huh!?"
The Raikage whistled as Naruto was startled by the Mizukage's offer. 'A date!? Where'd that come from!?' That was all Naruto could register before his poker face wore off revealing his startled face.
"A date with the Mizukage? Hokage, you sure are lucky!"
"I have to agree with you on that one Lord Raikage, right Lord Kazekage?"
"Yes, Tsuchikage~san, Naruto is pretty lucky. What do you say Mifune~san?"
"I'm going to have to side with you on that one, Kazekage~sama."
"Hu- Huh!?"
Naruto's brain could not handle it as he vanished and reappeared behind his sensei, in hopes that would help him. The entire room burst into laughter as the nurses outside wondered 'How were all the kage so relaxed?' The kage talked and joked around a bit more before a nurse came in informing Naruto that the visiting hours were over and left the room. Hearing this, the blond kage started to complain.
"Oh come on! So soon? I was having so much fun!"
"Naruto, I am having fun as well but you have to let them rest too..."
"B- but Kakashi~sensei, Karin went to sleep as soon as we arrived and I just wanted to hang around you all a bit more 'cause you all are like the family I never had..."
Hearing this, everyone present in the room felt emotional. Faster than anyone else who wanted to speak to the blond ninja, the Raikage started to talk.
"Come on kid, you're gonna make me cry. We can hang out a lot after this 'cause of what Madara said-"
The Raikage was quickly interrupted by Gaara's sand covering his mouth taking away his ability to talk as all the others present in the room fell silent. Naruto, on the other hand, was pretty confused.
"Because of what Madara said? What do you mean Raikage~san? Hey Gaara, what's with the sand? What's going on guys?"
Gaara let out a huge sigh before he released his sand and started to speak. The beans were already spilled so it was no use lying. Naruto had to know this but no one in the room wanted the cheerful mood to go away.
"He announced the 4th great ninja war. All the 5 villages against him for the 8 and 9-tailed jinchuriki."
The room fell silent. It was as if you could hear a fly around it. How would Naruto react to this? How would this affect his newly built relationship with the kage? Would the kage vote for something to happen to Naruto? Only time could tell...
