Born in Montclair, NJ, the son of the late Lee Roy Carpenter and Lorna Sundstedt, he had made his home in West Hartford for over 46 years. Roy was an avid sports and outdoorsman, involved with the Boy Scouts, outdoor clubs, and was most passionate about his fly fishing.

He was well known for his orchid collection and earned the nickname Mr. Carpenter was employed by Kwik Lok Corporation of Yakima, Washington, retiring in 1995. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. Married for 59 years to his loving wife Patricia, he also is survived by his four sons and his daughter; Kenneth Carpenter and his wife Barbara of West Hartford, Douglas Carpenter of Brunswick, ME, Keith Carpenter and his wife Kim of Glastonbury, Matthew Carpenter of Higganum, and Carol Quish and her husband Stephen of West Hartford. His twelve grandchildren, Kelly Carpenter, Jill Devor, Aaron Carpenter, Megan Burrows, Ryan Carpenter, Brendan and Casey Carpenter, Natasha Haase, Sarah, Amanda, Stephen, and Thomas Quish, his sister Elizabeth Hanoffee of Liberty, NY, two nieces, and his closest friend Morty Cohen and his wife Marilyn also survive him.

Levio C. Acey, 89, of Newington, died on Sunday, (December 18, 2005), after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Jennie (Marchi) Acey for 63 years. Born and raised in Pittsfield, MA, son of the late Silvio and Josephine (Colombo) Asci, he was a Newington resident since 1941. Mr.

Acey was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and served with the 36th Division in France where he received The Purple Heart. He retired from The Walton West Hartford, in 1981 after 40 years of employment. He was an avid golfer and a member of Indian Hill Country Club, Newington since 1954, and was a member of the Newington Senior Citizens. Mr.

Acey loved maintaining his yard, working in his gardens and being outdoors. A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he leaves his two sons, Raymond Acey and his wife, Donna, of Plainville, and John Acey, of Newington; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessica, Ryan, Tyler, and Lauren Acey. He also leaves his brother, William Asci and his wife Eleanor, of Cromwell; his sister, Nathalie Liverseidge, of Bronson, FL; a special cousin, Laura Boteze, of Pittsfield, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law, Geri Acey and a sister, Ann Mougin. The Acey family would like to thank all the staff at Ellis Manor for the care and compassion they provided to Mr.

Mario A. Caruso, CPA, 84, of Marion Drive, North Haven, died Sunday, (December 18, 2005) at the Masonic Geriatric Health Care Center, Wallingford. Beloved husband of 59 years to Rose A. (Crapanzano) Caruso. He was born in New London on June 2, 1921, son of the late John Caruso and Nancy (Oieni) Caruso.

He attended City College of New York, obtained his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1950, and did post graduate work in accounting at both the University of Michigan and the University of New Haven. Pre-activation to the service he had worked as a welder for Electric Boat in Groton. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II from November of 1944 to August of 1945 obtaining the rank of Corporal in the 4th Army Air Corp.

He served in Marchfield, CA and was a Nose Gunner on a B-24 Liberator. After the war he worked as an Appeals Officer for the Internal Revenue Service until his retirement in 1981. While working for the IRS he was also an Adjunct Instructor at the University of New Haven. Later he was an Associate Professor for the School of Business at Quinnipiac University retiring in 1991. He was a member of the American Institute of the CT Society of and the Professional Internal Revenue Association of CT (PIRRAC).

A 4th Degree Knight, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Carmel Council of Hamden and a member of the American Legion, Murray-Reynolds Post of North Haven. He was a former member and very active in the St. Church Holy Name Society and a former member of the Hamden Fish Game. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Koster) Cassidy. Mr. Cassidy was born in Greenport, NY, on September 26, 1966, son of Lorraine (Alec) Cassidy of Aquebogue, NY, and the late Herbert O. Cassidy. He was raised in Riverhead, NY, and had lived in New York City prior to moving to West Hartford four years ago.

He was a graduate of Riverhead High School and Fordam University. He was employed by Office Depot. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Conor M. Cassidy and Jack O. Cassidy, both of West Hartford; three brothers, James O.

was the daughter of Duane E. Steinle and Virginia Christensen Steinle. She was born on December 5, 1946 in Hartford and grew up in West Hartford. She was a graduate of Skidmore College and received an MFA from the University of Michigan. She had a successful career with NBC in Los Angeles.

Besides her husband, Ms. is survived by her daughter Tescia, 22 years old, who lives in San Diego, CA, as well as her three brothers, Peter of West Hartford, Edward of AZ and John of New Canaan. She was surrounded by her loving family while at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Vancouver, BC on October 11, 1912 to Winifred Haskell and Mary May Tindall Haskell. Evelyn was the wife of the late Michael J. Clementino. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret (Pete) Haskell Richey of Woodbridge, CT and her youngest sister Pauline (Polly) Haskell Burnham of Columbia and Storrs, CT. Evelyn graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1937.

She worked for many years as a R.N. at Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) and Crowell House. Evelyn was an accomplished artist, primarily Early American toleware and painted many pieces featured at the Clarke House in Willimantic. Animals benefited from her generous and kind spirit, especially cats. She enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid tag- saler.

She was much appreciated for her love of words, and continued to learn and share her knowledge. Evelyn is survived by her son, Michael W. Clementino along with Denise Lindsay of Sharon; and two daughters, Ann M. Clementino of Manchester and Judith Meacham and her husband, James D. Meacham of Hebron; and three grandchildren, Steven W.

Bycholski, Jill Potter and her husband Kurt and Dawn Hetu and her husband Tony; and step-grandchildren, James, Michael and Jeffrey Meacham. Most recently, her greatest joy has been time with her three great- grandchildren, Quinn and Lily Potter and Tony Hetu. Regular activities included a weekly card game with the delightful group of ladies who got together for more than 25 years. The family enjoyed every summer together at Columbia Lake. She and her husband traveled extensively even while in their 70s.

He was born in Hartford January 28, 1929 a son of the late Edward and Mary Carr Curtin, attended Trinity College on a basketball scholarship and was inducted into the Trinity College Basketball Hall of Fame. He recieved his B.S. degree from Trinity College and his Doctor of Juris Prudence from the University of Connecticut.

During the Korean conflict he served in the US Army, First Lieutenant, 5th Div. Infintry. Mr. Curtin retired from the former Southern New England Telephone Co. as Vice President and General Counsel in 1991.

He was an arbitrator for the American Arbitration the Connecticut State Board of Arbitration, the Better Business Bureau, and was a member of the CT Bar Assoc. He was a member of the New Haven Country Club, was Club President in 1988, and won numerous tournament victories. Mr. Curtin was a member of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee, and served on the Board of Directors of the St. Raphael Hospital Foundation, the Boys Girls Club of New Haven, and the Trinity College Alumni Assoc.

Born in Dallas, TX, a son of the late Larry and Matha (Allen) Dalton, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 28 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed as a generator mechanic for several years by NEMSI in the Hartford area. He was an individual who truly enjoyed cooking, barbecuing through out the year, baking, and wine tasting.

He was a former area sales representative for Pampered Chef, and attended annual bread-making seminars at King Arthur Flour Company in Vermont. Ed also worked on computers and loved to exchange favorite recipes with his on-line buddies. He would also play cards, especially and follow the UCONN Basketball teams, especially the team. However, Ed found his greatest pride and joys in being around and spending quality time with his five adored grandchildren. Besides his beloved wife of 41 years, Mr.

Dalton is survived by two sons, Aaron E. Dalton, and his wife, Deborah, of Marlborough, James L. Born in Wethersfield on December 1, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (LaPolla) Gesualdi. She lived in Wethersfield most of her life. She formerly owned and operated, with her husband Tom, Restaurant in Higganum and later worked for the State of Connecticut, Labor Department. Yolanda was a fabulous cook, she especially loved having all her family around her to help and en- oy her cooking. She was a member of the South West Senior Citizens, Hartford and the St.

George Greek Orthodox Senior Citizens Center. Yolanda was an avid UCONN Basketball fan. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas F. Forte, Jr. Besides her beloved husband Thomas of 66 years, who affectionately called her and she called him she is survived by two daughters, Linda and her husband, Dr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield.

Jones, Sr. 96 yrs. a Lifetime Resident of Chester died Sunday morning (December 18, 2005) at Middlesex Hospice after a short illness. He is survived by his Wife of 70 years. Kathleen (Limeburner) Jones.

Born in Chester, he was the son of the Late Henry and Harriet E. (Smith) Jones. an active member of the United Church of Chester, he was a veteran of the Chester Hose Company and the Chester Rotary Club. He retired from the Chester Bank in 1973. after 35 yrs.

Besides his Wife he is survived by his son and daughter in law Harold and Linda Jones his two daughters and sons in laws-Patricia and Dennis Kosky and Nancy and Will Clark all of Chester. He also leaves eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Brad and Albert Jones.
